Legacy Giving

With legacy gift planning, you can achieve your financial and personal goals while helping the Alliance for the Great Lakes protect the future of nearly 20% of the world’s fresh water – and the people, flora, and fauna who rely on these amazing waters.

The Alliance for the Great Lakes’ decades of success are enabled by our fiscal strength. When our donors choose to make world-changing gifts for the Great Lakes, it creates a generational impact for years to come.

When you’re a humanitarian at heart, philanthropy is an important part of your mission. Estate gifts continue your legacy, your mark on the world, and provide a significant impact on the future of our organization and the communities it serves. Regardless of the size of your estate, your legacy multiplies impact by giving a meaningful gift to the Alliance.

Including the Alliance for the Great Lakes in your estate plans pairs the benefits of a gift to charity with a powerful statement about your love for the Great Lakes and commitment to keeping their waters safe and clean for all who depend on them. It allows us to fulfill our mission – to protect, conserve, and restore the Great Lakes, ensuring healthy water in the lakes and in our communities for all generations of people and wildlife. Planned gifts build the foundation for the future of the Alliance for the Great Lakes and the protection of our most precious resource: the fresh, clean, and natural waters of the Great Lakes.
