Judy Freed

Judy manages the Alliance’s constituent acquisition and retention campaigns, meaning it’s her job to bring people in and keep them interested in participating with the Alliance. She’s the in-house expert on marketing technology, analytics and segmentation. Judy launched the Alliance’s marketing efforts in 2008 and over the next several years, tripled online revenue and doubled the email list. Judy also serves as the organization’s liaison to the Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN) where she co-leads the NTEN Digital Advertising online community. In 2017, she won the NTENny award, national recognition for her efforts within the network.

Prior to joining the Alliance, Judy spent many years in various roles within the marketing field. Among her many accomplishments, Judy built a $4 million telemarketing program from scratch, managed a $30 million direct mail profit center (U.S. and Canada), and developed an award-winning radio public service announcement campaign. Judy holds a M.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications/Direct Marketing from Northwestern University and a B.A. in History and Music from Harvard University. When not at the Alliance, you can find Judy writing musicals with some very talented composers and lyricists.
