Justine Weidel

Executive Assistant

As Executive Assistant, Justine primarily supports the Alliance’s President/CEO and COO, working to maximize the strategic use of their time. She also provides administrative strategy and support across all teams and acts as a liaison for AGL’s Board of Directors. Prior to her time with the Alliance, Justine worked as the Senior Manager of Administrative Services for Empower Illinois, a nonprofit scholarship-granting organization, where she gained experience in administrative management, human resources, benefits administration, and project management.  Justine received her BFA in Dance from Oakland University in Rochester, MI, and holds a Project Management Certification through Cornell University.

Justine grew up with a significant appreciation for the Great Lakes, having taken her first boat ride on Lake Erie at just four days old. As a lifelong resident of the Great Lakes region, she is excited to contribute to the Alliance’s mission of protecting and improving access to the waters her family calls home. Justine is a professionally trained dancer and enjoys baking, playing cards, and spending time outside with her husband and dog, Marty.
