Tomorrow is Election Day

Vote for the Great Lakes

November 2, 2026

Tomorrow, Tuesday, November 3, is Election Day. Voting is the most important way you can protect the Great Lakes. The more people who vote, the more our communities are heard.

If you’ve already voted, thank you! Encourage others to vote. Share your “I voted” sticker on social media – and tag us, we’d love to celebrate you!

If you’re voting on Election Day, here are some tips to make sure your vote will be counted:

  • If polls close while you’re in line, you have the legal right to stay and vote
  • If your name isn’t on the voter list, ask for a provisional ballot – don’t leave
  • If voting machines malfunction, request a paper ballot
  • If you make a mistake on your ballot, ask for a new one
  • Your vote is private – no one has the right to see how you vote or pressure you inside the polling place
  • If you have problems voting, you can call the nonpartisan Election Protection Hotline, 1-866-OUR-VOTE (1-866-687-8683)

You can find where and when to vote and check any requirements you’ll need to follow at your state’s election website:

Thank you for being a voter! And thank you for being part of the Alliance for the Great Lakes family!
