Jennie Pugliese

Water Resources Analyst

April 9, 2026

As the Water Resources Analyst, Jennie brings scientific rigor to the Alliance’s source water protection campaigns across the Great Lakes Basin. With a heavy focus on plastics, PFAS, and other emerging contaminants, she synthesizes and translates complex research into strategic resources that drive advocacy, outreach, and campaign efforts.

Jennie has spent her career working on water quality issues at the state and federal levels.  She has used her analytical and communication skills to bridge the gap between science and policy as the Science Advisor for USDA in the Western Lake Erie Basin, ORISE Research Fellow for the Office of Water at USEPA, and the Rules Coordinator for the Division of Surface Water at Ohio EPA.

Jennie holds two degrees from The Ohio State University: a Master of Science in Environment and Natural Resources with a focus in soil health and agronomic systems, and a Bachelor of Agricultural Science from the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.
