As the Alliance’s Director of Federal Government Affairs, Jenny is responsible for helping the Alliance translate our research and policy recommendations into meaningful legislative and regulatory changes at the federal level.
Jenny is driven by the belief that thoughtful policy can create lasting, positive change for people and the places they care about. Throughout her career, she has worked in the nonprofit sector, the U.S. House and Senate, and government affairs consulting. In those roles, she worked with Congress, federal agencies, and grassroots and grasstops partners across the Great Lakes region and coastal states to advance policies that protect our waters and the people and wildlife that depend on them.
Prior to joining the Alliance, Jenny served as Policy Director for a non-profit where she led federal policy development and advocacy strategies to protect, conserve, and restore marine and Great Lakes ecosystems. She brings experience developing legislative and regulatory strategies, building bipartisan relationships with Congress and federal agencies, and advancing conservation priorities through coalition advocacy.
Jenny holds a J.D. from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Utah. Outside of work, you’ll usually find her exploring Washington, D.C. or heading out of the city to hike and spend time in nature.
